Studied law and French translating at Karl-Franzens-University in Graz, Graduated as Doktor der Rechte [Doctor of Laws] in 1967.
Admitted to the bar in Graz in 1974.
Has been a partner and senior partner of Kaan Cronenberg & Partner,Rechtsanwälte, Graz (and its predecessor firms) since 1977.
Has held various positions in professional organizations (disciplinary council; Styrian bar association committee) since 1984.
Has been a member of the board of examiners for real estate developers at the Styrian state government agency since 1994.
Has been certified as court expert on legal fee structures since 2002.
Energy Law
Liberalization of the energy sector during recent years has resulted in a true flood of laws that are comprehensible only to a specialist. My practice has therefore focused in detail since 1999 on the legal framework governing the opening of energy markets.
In my practice I advise and represent before administrative authorities and the courts, both producers as well as distributors of energy (utilities) and also final consumers. As part of this practice specialty, I also represent commercial companies of all types which are faced with legal problems in the energy supply area.
