Studied law at the university in Graz from 1989 - 1996. Graduated as Magister der Rechtswissenschaften [Master of Laws] in 1996 and as Doktor der Rechtswissenschaften [Doctor of Laws] in 1999.

Attended Legal English Summer School at Oxford Brookes University in 1993 and Guildhall University London in 1995. Trainee at Eber/Kleble/Hock Rechtsanwälte in Mainz, Germany in 1994 (ELSA). Court internship in 1996/1997. "Stagiaire" at the European Parliament in Luxembourg and Brussels in 1997. Trainee at the law firm Kocks & Meeussen in Brussels in 1998. Graduated as LL.M. in European and International Law at the University of Bremen (LL.M.Eur.) in 1999.

Then work as Legal associate with Held Berdnik Astner & Partner in Graz and Vienna. Admitted to bar in Vienna in 2002. Attorney with Korn Frauenberger Rechtsanwälte OEG Vienna from 2002 - 2005. Attorney with Kaan Cronenberg & Partner Rechtsanwälte Graz since 2005. Since 2007 he is partner of Kaan Cronenberg & Partner, Attorneys at Law, Graz.
